1FA is not a come-one-come-all club. We cap our roster by coaching capacity — a strict 1 coach for every 15 athletes — so no one gets lost in the crowd. Spots are limited, and we are selective about who we invite in.
Here's the important part: we select on character, not talent. If your athlete is coachable, supportive of teammates, and ready to commit to our culture, we want to meet them — wherever they're starting from. Complete the questionnaire below and a member of our staff will personally follow up.

We believe in full transparency about what 1FA costs a family before you commit. Below is the annual team fee plus a realistic all-in estimate so there are no surprises.

For athletes focused on local and regional development — AAU-sanctioned meets within driving distance. No overnight travel.

For athletes pursuing AAU State, Regional, and National competition — up to 10 meets. Up to 3 meets may require hotels. Airfare applies only if the AAU national meet requires flying, and again if an athlete qualifies for New Balance Nationals — shown separately since they don't apply to everyone.
The $800 team fee may be paid in full or in installments. Travel figures are estimates and vary by the number of meets and distance traveled — families are notified in advance of any costs beyond those listed. If cost is ever a concern, contact us directly; we will work with you so payment is never a barrier to participation.
Our winter season is a shorter, all-local schedule — a great way to stay sharp in the off-season. Only 4–5 meets, all within driving distance — no overnight travel.

A short winter schedule of 4–5 local meets — no overnight travel. Returning athletes who already have a 1FA uniform can skip that line, bringing the all-in to about $600.
Need a different payment method? Just ask. Accepted athletes complete a full Athlete Health & Registration form (medical, emergency contacts, and required waivers) before the season begins.
